Our first day

We spent some time brainstorming in groups to answer 3 questions:

What is a habitat?

What does an animal need from its habitat?

How do animals adapt to their habitats?

The dictionaries came out and there was a lot of discussion and thinking going on.  

 We thought a habitat was a specific spot, a place to live.  Some of us knew animals needed water and food from their habitats.

 We weren't sure what adapt meant.
