Final days of school

As we count down our last week we celebrate all the successes we have had throughout the year. Today we had our final assembly and gave out the last certificates of the year.
In class we have been making donuts, Christmas tree decorations and cards.
Our Christmas tree is laden down with candy canes and crackers, ready for our final day.

Yahtzee

We are learning how to play Yahtzee. We need to use lots of addition strategies and some knowledge of probability to play this game.

Hyperbole fishing stories

We have been learning about hyperbole.  We have identified hyperbole in some song lyrics.  Then we read some hyperbole stories.  We really enjoyed There was an old lady who swallowed the Fly Guy by Trevor Van Meter and The Magic Finger by Roald Dahl.  We have written our own hyperbole stories about fishing.  Then we published our stories in 3d presentations.
