Desert Habitats
We have moved on to desert habitats. We have begun to look at animal adaptations to different habitats.
The Great Horned Owl lives in a desert habitat.
Desert habitats
Our cacti and owls. The horned owl can hear a mouse 100 yards away, it eats 250 different types of animals and it nests in cacti to keep itself safe. All these adaptations help it survive in the desert. The cactus stores water and has very sharp thin leaves that protect it as well as reduce evaporation.

Rainforest Habitats
We have started our topic study on habitats. We have taken a brief look at rainforests, but we will take a more indepth look later on.
So far we know there are three layers in the rainforest. We can name some animals and plants that are found in these layers.
Here are some of our monkeys with their banana books about the rainforest.
